Main Idea and Supporting Details
During writing this week we worked on adding supporting details to our writing. Here are some photos of an experiment we did. We found out that without the details to support our main idea our writing was weak and with supporting details our writing is strong. We are going to make it our goal to add at least 4 supporting details to our paragraphs from now on.

Mystery Reader, Birthday, Pumpkins Oh My!
Friday was a busy day in 3-1 we had our first mystery reader, a birthday celebration, and decorated our character pumpkins!
A huge thank you to the parents that helped out with the decorating of our pumpkins. This project would not be possible without your help!
The finished product looks fantastic in our hallway right now and will soon be heading down to the library so other classrooms and even the middle school students can enjoy these masterpieces. Here are a few of the finished character pumpkins.
